Full Job Description Job Schedule:
Training will occur on dayshift then move to the schedule shown below. This position is a 12 hour PM Swing shift on a weekly rotation including a shift premium. 5PM - 5AM, 12 hours shifts; rotates between Week 1 and Week 2 Week 1: works Mon & Tues, off Wed & Thurs, works Fri & Sat = 48 hours Week 2: works Sun, off Mon & Tues, works Wed & Thurs, off Fri & Sat= 36 hours About us: MNP is an award-winning fastener manufacturer specializing in diameters from M3 to M24. Annealing Furnace Operator:
The Annealing Furnace Operator is responsible for operation of the Annealing Furnace, which is used to increase ductility and reduce the hardness of raw coiled steel. This key role must ensure safe operation of the equipment and temperature instruments. Operators are to ensure the steel reaches it's required temperature and cooled afterwards at the correct rate for the appropriate length of time. 1 Complete coil ID verification 2 Ensure tag information accuracy Make sure spiders and thermocouples are positioned correctly Confirm pressure check is acceptable Verify routing is initiated and completed Taking Samples Loading furnace, removing covers, unloading spiders and load cycle Additional skills and/or experience required for success in the role of an
Annealing Furnace Operator:
Excellent work ethics: dependable, reliable, follows established procedures Able to learn how to use technical equipment such as a hydrogrometer, an analyzer (CO, CO2, and Oxygen), hand tools, pressure switches, flow switches and proximity switches Previous Annealing Furnace Operator Experience Mechanically inclined Possesses basic computer skills Able to work in a team environment; gets along with others Able to read work and understand work instructions, blueprints, technical documents and customer requirements Able to do math calculations and work with numbers, fractions, and decimals Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing Able to record information and calculate data as needed Able and willing to wear the required protective clothing and PPE mandated by OSHA and MNP Able to commit to perfect attendance during the training schedule Able to work in hot, oily, and noisy conditions Able to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, lift, and sit as needed throughout the 12 hour day This job description is not intended to be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the company.
