Job Description

Now Hiring Oven Operators paying up to $23/hr! Job Description The Oven Operator sets up and operates industrial ovens and related equipment to cure composite materials, ensuring precise temperature and time control while following detailed, computer-based work instructions. This role involves handling large parts, preparing and layering composite materials, and using CNC machines and cutting tables to support high-quality production in a clean, climate-controlled environment. Responsibilities Use oven computer controls to set and monitor heat and time parameters for curing composite materials. Move large parts safely in and out of industrial ovens and autoclaves, following proper handling procedures. Layer fibers, fabrics, epoxies, and glues in and on molds and tools according to detailed work instructions. Assemble and disassemble molds and tools to support various production runs and configurations. Cut and measure fabrics and fibers accurately to meet specified dimensions and tolerances. Follow strict procedures and instructions throughout the process, maintaining strong visual attention to detail. Store and handle materials properly, including managing items that must be kept in refrigerators before curing. Operate CNC machines and cutting tables by using computer systems and software interfaces. Follow computer-based work instructions and documentation to complete builds consistently and accurately. Troubleshoot builds and processes as needed, identifying issues and working to resolve them promptly. Use hand tools and equipment such as sewing machines, dremels, sanding tools, and cutting tools as required. Adapt to new procedures and methods as they are introduced, continuously updating skills and knowledge. Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting clean room assembly and open shop floor standards. Wear required safety equipment and follow all safety guidelines while working around ovens, autoclaves, and shop equipment. Essential Skills 1-3 years of experience operating industrial ovens or autoclaves. 1-3 years of experience in a field that develops attention to detail, following work instructions, fabricating, troubleshooting builds, using tools, and assembling products. Ability to operate computers and follow computer-based work instructions and documentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following strict procedures and instructions. Demonstrated adaptability and comfort learning new procedures and processes on a regular basis. Willingness to learn and develop skills in composite materials and related processes. Experience with machine operation in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to stand for most of the day and safely handle large parts and tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with composite layup or prepreg processes. Experience operating CNC machines or table cutters. Experience operating industrial ovens or autoclaves in a production environment. Experience operating sewing machines for fabrication or assembly tasks. Hands-on experience with composite materials, epoxies, lamination, and layup. Familiarity with tools and processes such as sewing, dremel use, sanding, vacuum systems, airframe work, and cutting tools. Background in auto body work, including fabricating, vinyl wrapping, or painting. Experience as a sculptor with strong artistic problem-solving skills. Experience as a nail technician performing staged processes involving glues and dremels. Experience as a welder, especially with troubleshooting and following complex instructions. Comfort working in clean room assembly and open shop floor environments. Why Work Here? The dress code is casual, complemented by required safety shoes and safety glasses to maintain a safe working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miamisburg, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
