Boiler/Kiln Operator

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Boiler/Kiln Trainee position will train to operate company boiler and kilns using standard boiler and kiln processes. The operator is responsible for the continued operation and processing of the drying product and will often work independently using standard protocols.

GENERAL WORK HOURS

This Boiler/Kiln Trainee position, once trained, will be next in line for a regular operator shift. The position will work a variety of shifts until a regular operator shift is available. Once trained AND a regular Boiler/Kiln Operator position is available, the position will be scheduled into a regular work shift. Regular Boiler/Kiln Operator shifts are Wednesday through Saturday, or Sunday through Wednesday, with work hours from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM, OR 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM. Both the Trainee and Operator positions are full-time. Seniority allows Operators to switch normal work shifts as openings become available in other time slots.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available for nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift safety certification.
• Previous work experience required.
• Previous Boiler and/or Kiln operating experience preferred.
• Previous wood products experience preferred.
• Position may be assigned full time at either Pollok or Nacogdoches, Texas locations.
• Must be able to work independently and make operation decisions in a timely and safe manner.

$19.67 - $22.70 per hour
