Machinist/Tool Maker

Perfection Chain Products has an opportunity available for Machinist/Tool Maker ! This position will start at $20 an hour (depending on experience) and is eligible for our full benefits package. The Workweek for this position Full-Time , (40 hours per week) Monday - Friday from. This position will work on-site at our facility in Cullman, Alabama . This position is ideal for a person who is interested in fabricating tooling and parts for older machinery, reverse engineering, and problem solving!

Starting pay:

$20 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will assist with developing and creating process improvements for new and existing machinery, assist with our tool and die operations, troubleshoot mechanical problems, and sharpen/maintain punch press dies. This position works in a warehouse environment and will be standing/walking during most shifts. The material handler should expect to be on their feet during most of the shift. Who we are seeking in an applicant: This position requires a person with excellent mechanical aptitude, we are seeking an individual who is familiar with traditional metal manufacturing concepts.

Additional qualifications include:

Mechanical process experience including metal stamping. Basic knowledge of chemical and physical properties of metals (steel, brass, aluminum). Basic knowledge of lubricants used in metal forming and punching. Tool and Die experience is a huge plus!
