Job Description

Come create your career with Volt Volt is immediately hiring for Tool and Die Technician/Maker in Oxnard, CA. As a Tool and Die Technician/Maker The Tool & Die Technician / Maker is responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing. This role requires strong machining skills, blueprint reading, and the ability to work within tight tolerances to support production operations. Key Responsibilities Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to determine tooling requirements Measure, mark, and prepare metal stock for machining and fabrication Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC equipment Machine, assemble, and fit components to create tools, dies, and fixtures Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure specifications are met Perform adjustments, repairs, and preventative maintenance on tools and dies Conduct surface finishing and grinding to achieve required tolerances and finishes Install and align tooling, fixtures, and components using hand and power tools Evaluate tooling performance and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to support manufacturing processes. This is a full-time opportunity
Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay range is $33-40 based on skill Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification preferred (or equivalent experience) 3-5+ years of tool and die, machining, or related manufacturing experience Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling design Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Experience working with tight tolerances and precision measurements Skills & Competencies Proficiency with manual and CNC machining equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
