Mechanic B Mary Ann's Baking Co. - 2.8 Sacramento, CA Job Details Full-time $34.50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Tools provided Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Assists in the repair and maintenance of equipment or machinery. Uses hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Role and Responsibilities Promotes safety through proper safe work procedures and adherence to employee safety programs. Inspects and keeps equipment maintained in a safe operating condition. Maintains compliance with the organizational safety and accident prevention program. Adheres to all CAL/OSHA and company safety policies (Lock Out Tag Out, Machine Guarding, power tool usage, etc) Follows all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and quality policies and regulations. Actively promote a culture of Safety by working with peers to identify and correct workplace safety issues. Conducts routine safety checks to ensure workspace is free from potential safety risks while working with overall bakery team to promote a safe workplace environment. Ensures new machines are prepared for operation following protocols and procedures and performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency. Collects data on machine operation to help monitor and reduce machine downtime. Performs assigned work with support from a Mechanic A and/or while under the direction and support of a supervisor. Handles routine corrective and preventative maintenance work orders and other issues. May assist with more complex problems, while working in tandem with a supervisor or Mechanic A. May assist with installation or tear down projects while working with a team. Typically works as a group with the Supervisor and other mechanics. Documents repairs and other work in the CMMS system via use of an assigned tablet. Additional duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of related industry experience in a maintenance/mechanic or related role in an industrial environment Possesses basic knowledge and skill of routine repairs, preventative maintenance work while continuing to learn internal equipment, processes, and subject matter. Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted throughout the workday. Ability to stand, walk, crawl, and climb ladders constantly during an 8-hour workday. Ability to work in a team focused environment as demonstrated through previous work experience. Good Manual dexterity. Strong Physical stamina. Must provide own tools to use during the workday (tool cart and specialized tools are provided) Ability to read, interpret and follow directions. Preferred Skills Certification from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program preferred. Prior food manufacturing (Bakery) industry work experience
