Competitive Weekly Pay + Overtime + Benefits & 401(k) Starting Day 1 Are you an experienced Master Machinist - Tool Maker or Precision Machinist looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a leading aerospace manufacturer in Connecticut? We are hiring a Tool Maker (Turning/Milling) to build and maintain the precision tooling that supports critical aerospace products. This is an opportunity to work on challenging, high-precision projects in a clean, professional manufacturing environment where your skills and craftsmanship are valued. What You'll Do Certain days you may need to run production, but able to take jobs from blueprints to finished products. Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, and production equipment Set up and operate CNC turning large VTL and small lathes, 5-Axis and small milling machines Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications Work with engineering and quality teams to develop tooling solutions and improve processes Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, indicators, and height gages Troubleshoot tooling issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement Support aerospace manufacturing operations requiring exceptional accuracy and repeatability What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in tool making, tool & die, precision machining, or a related manufacturing environment Experience with CNC turning/milling equipment, including 5-axis machining Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T Strong knowledge of machining practices and tight-tolerance manufacturing Experience using precision measuring and inspection tools Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience in an AS9100 manufacturing environment CNC setup, programming, or advanced troubleshooting experience Experience with large multi-axis milling machines, including Niigata equipment
