Shift:

Per Diem, Nights (12‑hour shifts, 7pm-7am) About Us Holtz Children's Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center is one of the largest and most respected pediatric hospitals in the Southeast. Our Level

III/IV NICU

is internationally recognized for exceptional outcomes and is among the largest in the United States. Holtz Children's is also home to nationally distinguished programs in pediatric multi‑organ transplantation, kidney failure, congenital heart disease, and pediatric physician training through our partnership with the University of Miami. Position Summary The APRN provides advanced primary, acute, and specialty care to critically ill newborns in the NICU. This role includes comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and coordination of care in collaboration with neonatologists and the interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include performing procedures, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, prescribing treatments, and supporting families through education and counseling. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced neonatal assessments and develop differential diagnoses Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions Manage acute and chronic neonatal conditions Perform procedures within scope and competency Provide family education and discharge planning Collaborate with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate medical documentation Support nursing staff through education and best‑practice guidance Follow all unit‑specific policies, competencies, and safety standards Demonstrate CARE values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Expertise Experience 5-7 years of related experience preferred Education Master's degree in Nursing required Credentials Valid Florida APRN license Board‑Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP‑BC) American Heart Association BLS required NRP required Must maintain all unit‑specific competencies and certifications

Pay:

$60.00 per hour
