Tooling Engineer Job Summary:

SANGWOO PRECISION USA, INC.

is seeking a Tooling Operations Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring, assembling, setting up, and maintaining cutting tools used in CNC machines. Using a dedicated presetting machine, you will ensure tool accuracy, reliability, and efficiency before they are integrated into production. Your work will directly minimize machine downtime and contribute to overall productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Tool Pre-setting:

Assemble and dismantle tooling such as end mills, drills, and inserts.

Tool Measurement:

Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers) to verify tool accuracy.

Tool Inspection:

Check for wear, damage, and functionality before use.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of tool usage, lifecycle, and replacements.

Tool Preparation:

Clean and securely position tools prior to presetting.

Calibration Checks:

Regularly verify the accuracy of measuring equipment.

Production Support:

Provide pre-set tools for machine changeovers to support production teams.

Troubleshooting:

Identify and resolve tool-related issues to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Required Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. Basic computer skills for data entry and tool tracking. Ability to work independently and within a team. Adherence to company safety procedures and protocols.

Minimum education:

High school diploma or equivalent Physical capability to lift and handle tools up to 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Previous experience in tool setting, CNC machining, or manufacturing. Knowledge of tool materials (carbide, high-speed steel) and cutting geometries. Technical certifications in machining, tool setting, or precision measurement. Associate's degree or vocational training in machining, manufacturing, or a related field. Additional Requirements Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify participation) Must be able to relocate to Hogansville, GA or reside within a reasonable commuting distance

Compensation & Benefits Pay:

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
