Job Description

CAD/CAM Technician We are seeking a dependable CAD/CAM Technician to support daily production operations. This role involves operating CNC machining centers, inspecting parts for quality, performing basic assembly tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Experience with injection molding tooling is preferred but not required. This is a hands-on role , requiring time both at a computer creating machining programs and on the shop floor setting up and machining components and parts. The ideal candidate is looking for long-term career growth and advancement opportunities .
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Programming (CAM) Create machining toolpaths using CAD/CAM software. Develop machining programs, including tooling selection, cutting parameters, and spindle speeds. Shop Floor Execution Set up and operate CNC equipment. Validate new programs and troubleshoot machining issues. Tooling Support Build, repair, and maintain manufacturing aids such as jigs, molds, fixtures, and tooling components. Documentation Create setup sheets, work instructions, and process documentation to support consistent production.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on molds and tooling, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly. Operate manual and CNC machinery including lathes, mills, and grinders. Troubleshoot tooling and production issues directly on the manufacturing floor. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints. Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Maintain and update SOPs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education High school diploma plus vocational training, technical certification, or Tool & Die apprenticeship preferred. Experience 2-5 years of
CAD/CAM, CNC
machining, tooling, or related manufacturing experience. Technical Skills CNC and manual machining experience. CNC programming knowledge, including G & M codes. Strong shop mathematics skills. Working knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and pneumatic systems related to tooling.
