In this role, you will leverage your expertise in manual and CNC machining to design, maintain, and optimize the tooling systems that drive our production capabilities, ensuring high-quality output and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Construct and maintain complex progressive and single-station dies to support high-volume production needs. Design and fabricate custom jigs and fixtures, directly impacting the precision and consistency of our manufacturing processes. Execute detailed tooling layouts and assembly drawings to streamline production workflows. Perform critical die sharpening and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying tooling bottlenecks and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall shop floor efficiency. Operate manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce parts to exact specifications. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent certification. 3+ years of professional experience in a tool and die or machining environment. Demonstrated proficiency in manual machining, tool repair, and die setup. Strong troubleshooting abilities to resolve mechanical and tooling-related challenges. Hands-on experience with CNC mills (3-4 axis) and CNC lathes (2-4 axis). Preferred Skills Experience utilizing jig grinders and manual surface grinders. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 pounds as needed. Capacity to maintain focus and precision during extended periods of stationary work.
