We're looking for a skilled tooling professional who can step into an active punch press operation, troubleshoot problems at the press, and make the repairs and adjustments needed to keep production running. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in the trade, enjoys solving difficult tooling problems, and wants to work in an environment where experience, craftsmanship, and good ideas are valued. What You'll Be Doing You'll play an important role in keeping our stamping operation productive and our tooling performing at its best.

Responsibilities include:

Troubleshoot and repair stamping dies used in punch press production Diagnose die and tooling problems directly at the press and determine the right corrective action Sharpen, repair, and maintain punches, dies, and related tooling Perform precision surface grinding and manual machining Fit, assemble, repair, and adjust die components Read prints and work to close tolerances Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment Support preventive maintenance and improve tooling reliability Partner with production to reduce downtime and improve die performance Document repairs and help develop better tooling history, practices, and standards The Experience We're Looking For This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for someone with solid hands-on experience in several of these areas: Tool & die making and/or die repair Metal stamping and punch press tooling Progressive, compound, or similar production dies Punch and die sharpening Precision surface grinding Manual mills and lathes Precision measurement and close-tolerance work Troubleshooting dies and tooling in a production environment Centerless grinding experience is a strong plus , especially experience producing, repairing, or finishing punches and other precision tooling components.
