We are a leading company in the Thin Dense Chrome (TDC) plating industry, specializing in high-quality electroplating for a wide range of applications. We are seeking a skilled Rack Maker/Plating Toolmaker to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with solid design and fabrication skills, who is passionate about contributing to the precision and quality of plating processes. Experience with thin, dense chrome and/or anodizing is a plus. Experience with conforming anodes is a major plus. Duties and responsibilities Determine materials necessary to fabricating racking/tooling Identifyamperage inputs and properly size materials for current load Fabricate tooling using various welding and mechanical methods Test tooling to reduce potential for electrical arcing Properlymaintainexisting tooling by cleaning, stripping, and re-coating Schedule tooling fabricationin accordance withproduction schedule Ensure equipment and toolingismaintainedand available when needed Provide a safe and clean work environment for areas of responsibility Coordinate activity with other departments as needed Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures for the operations' groups Ensure all environmental, health, and safety regulations all followed Other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience with fabrication required Ability to read and interpret blueprints required Excellent track record with employee safety Prior experience with electroplating a plus Safety conscious attitude Excellent attention to details High school diploma or equivalent Physical requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
