Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour (Based on Experience) Full-Time | 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire Masterson Staffing is seeking an experienced Mold Maker / Tool Maker for a Client in Elgin, IL. This position is responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting injection molds to support production operations and ensure high-quality output.
Responsibilities:
Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot injection molds and tooling Perform preventative maintenance on molds and related equipment Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble molds Operate manual machine shop equipment, including mills, grinders, lathes, and drill presses Modify tooling as needed to improve performance and quality Diagnose mold-related issues and implement corrective actions Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Work closely with production and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals Maintain a safe and organized work area
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Mold Maker, Tool Maker, Mold Technician, or similar role Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience with precision measuring instruments and machine shop equipment Knowledge of injection molding processes preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
