Tool & Die MachinistSalary:
$60,217 - $90,325 annually1st Shift Hours Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tool & Die Machinist to join our client's manufacturing team. This position is responsible for analyzing technical specifications and performing bench and machine operations to construct, modify, maintain, and repair tools and dies. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of tooling practices, excellent machining and troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to precision and quality. You will use a variety of conventional and CNC equipment, along with precision measuring instruments, to produce components that meet exact specifications and tolerances. Key ResponsibilitiesReview blueprints, sketches, models, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements and sequence operations.

Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

Machine tool and die components to required dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes.

Construct, modify, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and related components.

Use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators, to verify dimensions, alignment, and clearances.

Interpret and calculate dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances based on engineering drawings and specifications.

Perform test runs on tools and dies to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.

Troubleshoot tooling and production issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to support die setup and improve setup efficiency on the production floor.

Collect and maintain accurate production and quality-control data.

Follow established SOPs, safety procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
