At our Aurora, IL site, you'll support the Aircraft department and uphold our safety, quality, and productivity standards from day one. Role snapshot Perform assigned work safely and efficiently with a strong focus on quality, attendance, and punctuality; follow Lock Out/Tag Out and keep your area clean and orderly; report abnormalities to your Lead or Supervisor. Set up and operate Assembly Department equipment to print specifications and procedures; document setups and secure approvals. What you'll do
Presses:
Select/change press dies, pins, stake/stamp/fit fixtures; install shims; adjust hydraulic pressure and stroke length.Laser Marker:
Select/change fixtures, plates, rods, spacers; load the correct program.Ink Jet:
Change format; adjust track and speed; switch to rotary or track position.Electro Etch:
Select/change pins and pads; dial in settings; use the correct solution.Ovens:
Set and adjust temperature and timers.Fit:
Configure fixtures, pins, and shims. 2pcSwage:
Select/change dies and pins; install bushings. Swage (Spherical Inserts): Change dies, pins, shims, springs.Quality checks:
Sign out all necessary gauging equipment from Q.A.; set gauges per print; verify fit, center, stake, stamp, and markings visually, by touch, or with gauges. First-piece & run: Produce first piece, adjust to meet print, complete paperwork for setup approval; load parts, cycle equipment, check at intervals, and adjust to maintain quality. Material handling & care: Move parts to/from work area and scale as needed; wash parts prior to running; maintain all machine fluid levels. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (post-secondary technical training preferred) Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated shop math Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Effective communicator with co-workers, suppliers, and leadership Preferred proficiencies Equipment Troubleshooting; Troubleshooting Skills 5 Why (Root Cause Analysis Method) ITAR Compliance Visual Inspection Aids OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10) Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology Machine Safety Inspections Machine Setups for Production Runs Shop Math Skills AS9100 Experience Blueprint Reading Machines & technologies you'll use Punch Press Pay and benefits $18.50-$21.86 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.
