To Plant Manager or Assigned Supervisor
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Up to four people
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES
Responsible for overall operation of the extrusion die shop.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
(This list may not include all of the duties assigned) 1. Directs the activities of the Die Corrector(s) and the training of die correction trainee personnel. 2. Maintains all die records. 3. Assists as necessary in polishing dies and preparing for set-up following established schedule. 4. Specifies tooling specifications and orders all tooling as required. 5. Ensures that all tooling is maintained properly. 6. Ensures that all extruded material is dimensionally correct. 7. Evaluates proposed new shapes and advises management of extrudeability. 8. Assists press lead people in productions as needed. 9. Assists in coordinating daily production. Samples new prototype dies. Establishes quality control procedures before shipment to customer. Works within the guidelines of the quality program, including drawings and procedures. Provides OJT and formal training as required to employees under his/her supervision. Insures good housekeeping in work area. Reports problems or accidents to management immediately. Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and abides by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures. Performs related work as required.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Requires the use of advanced shop mathematics, complicated drawings, specifications, formulas and a wide variety of precision measuring instruments together with a broad knowledge in application techniques of the recognized trade or craft of die corrector.
Education:
High school or GED. Trade school and/or apprenticeship program preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five years of experience.

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
