Position Summary:
The individual is responsible for repairing, modifying, polishing, and maintaining extrusion dies to ensure profiles meet quality specifications and production requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Inspect extrusion dies for wear, damage, and defects.
  • Schedule and conduct die trials.
  • Keep track of the nitride schedule of all the tooling and operate the oven.
  • Complete the bearing work on the face of the dies.
  • Learn and support other functions or processes as required by cross-training.
  • Other duties are assigned as well.
Required Skills:
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and using tape measures and other necessary tools.
  • Familiar with Bridgeport machines, including cutting speeds and feed rates.
  • Eager to embrace new challenges and develop new skills to strive for a leadership role.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of die repairs and modifications using computer software.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions while working safely.
Experience Requirements:
  • With two years of hands-on experience in die correction
Work Environment:
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Ability to lift and move material or parts that weigh up to 50 pounds.
