This position is responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other precision components used in production.
Responsibilities:
Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Operate tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs Support production by minimizing downtime and improving tool performance Follow safety and quality standards at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Tool and die training, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience preferred Several years of tool and die experience in a manufacturing environment Strong blueprint reading and machining skills Ability to work with close tolerances and precision measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills CNC experience is a plus
