Part Time What You Will Do:
Perform a variety of durable medical equipment fittings and customer service functions. Populations served include mastectomy, maternity, oncology, lymphedema, hair loss, pelvic floor and bariatric. Schedule and conducts fittings for a variety of durable medical equipment, including post-mastectomy breast prostheses and bras, wigs, compression garments and maternity support items. Assist patients with the selection of breast pumps, nursing support items and any retail products not requiring a fitting. Complete administrative tasks, including assisting with insurance forms, documentation of eligibility and pre-authorization. Communicate with clinicians and patients in order to obtain missing or required information, and follow up with patients to assess further needs.
What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification /
Registration:
Certified Prosthetic Tech specializing in Mastectomy Fitting credentialed from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, & Pedorthics obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certification specializing in Biomedical preferred.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
