Tool Room Machinist:
The Tool Room Machinist is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating manual and CNC machine tools to manufacture, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, dies, gauges, and precision components. This position supports production by ensuring tooling accuracy, quality, and minimal downtime. Required Skills of the
Tool Room Machinist:
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge Proficient in manual machining (critical in tool room environment) Knowledge of tool steels, heat treating, and surface finishes Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment Required Experience and Education of the
Tool Room Machinist:
3-7 years experience in a tool room or precision machining environment Experience with tight tolerance machining Set up CNC mills and/or lathes (prove out programs, set offsets, adjust tooling) Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings Manufacture and repair fixtures, dies, jigs, and special tooling Hold tight tolerances ( /- .0005 " or as required) High School Diploma or GED A successful candidate will be subject to a background check and must receive satisfactory results of the same, as a condition of joining the team.
