Job Description

Communicate with Production Scheduler to prepare dies and tooling for production. Assign responsibilities to T&D makers based on production schedule requirements. Interpret specifications and blueprints during design review. Review and modify scheduled PM's based on tooling and die repairs. Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality of product, working conditions or use of equipment or technology to increase plant efficiency and throughput. Analyze and resolve die / tool performance problems or assist others during press calls. Maintain time, attendance and production records, including all appropriate paperwork and tracking. Train new workers and apprentices. Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials. Purchase equipment for tools or die production and tool room and job ease. Perform other essential functions as assigned. Coordinate contract labor including quoting and PO Monitor department performance for downtime, repairs, die/tool availability Track employee skills, development, versatility and improvement Schedule equipment repair Lead Home line Run-Off (HLRO) activity for new product preparation and launch.
