Our KineCoil division designs and manufactures microcoiling equipment and precision tooling used by leading medical device and electronics manufacturers to produce miniature spring components, including components used in life-saving medical procedures and signaling applications. We are seeking a Precision Tool Maker with 2-3 years of precision toolmaking experience to join our team at our state-of-the-art Worcester manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and highly detailed handwork . You'll work closely with tooling engineers and the materials manager to finish, inspect and produce miniature tooling for deflection coiling machinery that produces coils with wire diameters as fine as 0.001". Key Responsibilities Finish, inspect, and serialize miniature tooling components such as wire guides, coiling points, and arbors to 0.0001" tolerance. Under magnification perform precision grinding, filing, lapping, and polishing of carbide and other specialized materials. Use micrometers, dremels, optical comparators, video scopes, and other precision inspection equipment and specialty fixtures. Read and interpret engineering drawings and work to extremely tight tolerances. Collaborate with tooling engineers, materials management, and production. Maintain high standards of quality, organization, safety, and workmanship. Qualifications 2-3 years of precision toolmaking or related experience. Experience with precision grinding, finishing, lapping, or polishing. Ability to work with microscopes and precision measuring equipment. Ability to read manufacturing drawings and work to tight tolerances. Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Apprenticeship, or formal vocational training education preferred. Why Kinefac? This isn't ordinary machining.
