To help us drive excellence, you'll get to: Sets up dies, fixtures or assemblies in accordance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures. Troubleshoots equipment failures and problems with appropriate personnel. Sets press to optimum speed and feed of machine according to type of operation, specified material and finish to improve and maintain machine efficiency. Maintain accurate and complete production and quality records. Operators a press in operators absence when needed. Starts machine to obtain first run work piece and verifies dimensional tolerances. Performs routine and preventative maintenance and setup including, but not limited to, die setting/fastening, machine lubrication, tools utilized include hand held pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, die bars, etc. Recommends adjustments to processes and equipment to produce a product that meets company standards and customer requirements. Reports equipment failures and unusual sounds or actions while operating equipment. Fills out necessary work orders and/or PCA's (Process Change Authorizations) when needed. Monitors press for proper operation and reports any malfunctions or problems to supervisor and maintenance. Coordinate and pre-stage all necessary items for die change. Set up and program new jobs on initial run. Fill out proper paperwork and turn in to Supervisor. Assists engineering personnel in testing and evaluating new dies. Evaluates data and conducts experiments to develop application of new equipment or improved techniques, procedures or practices. This Full-Time, hourly role is a part of our Autokiniton - Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Production Supervisor
