• Maintain and upgrade fixtures and gauges.
• Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.
• Perform extensive die maintenance such as rebuilding die sections, retiming pads and forms and engineering changes on all types of dies.
• Make decisions and judgments about proper course of action for repair and maintenance.
• Examines standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs and fixtures to recommend design modifications regarding construction and function of part.
• Determine specifications for inspection of work, using full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before, during and after machining This Full-Time, hourly role is a part of our Autokiniton - Belleville 2 team and reports to the Tool Room Supervisor.
