CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder Technician Cutting Tool Manufacturing | Afternoon or Night Shift Kyocera Unimerco Tooling, Inc. is a leading manufacturer, distributor, and service provider of precision cutting tools for the metalworking, automotive, aerospace, and fluid power industries. We specialize in the production of solid carbide and PCD-tipped cutting tools and are currently expanding our team at our Saline, Michigan manufacturing facility. Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, we are seeking a CNC Tool & Cutter Grinder Technician to join our afternoon or night shift operations. This position is ideal for individuals with CNC grinding, tool and cutter grinding, tool and die, machining, or precision manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a highly technical and quality-focused environment. What You'll Do Operate CNC grinding equipment used in the manufacture and refurbishment of precision cutting tools Perform OD grinding and finishing of PCD and carbide tooling to exact specifications Read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing documentation Inspect finished products using precision measuring equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards Perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting Collaborate with production teams to maintain efficient workflow and meet customer deadlines Participate in quality control processes, including inspection of both personal and team-produced work Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process Required Qualifications Previous experience in CNC machining, CNC grinding, tool and cutter grinding, tool and die, precision manufacturing, or a related field Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment Commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards Willingness to learn specialized tooling and grinding processes Preferred Qualifications Experience operating CNC grinding machines Tool and cutter grinder experience Tool and die experience Experience manufacturing carbide or PCD cutting tools Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and inspection procedures Previous experience in a machining or metalworking environment Why Join Kyocera Unimerco?
