Position Summary:
Timken is seeking a dedicated and skilled Tool Crib Attendant to join our Tool Crib team. In this role you will prepare setups and maintain a variety of tooling to maintain quality and ensure conformance to required specifications. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Essential Responsibilities:
Issues, delivers, and receives, and stores various masters, machine parts, tooling, and other materials. Keeps production lines supplied with tooling and delivers setups to designated locations. Assemble, pre-set, and test items such as shoes, holders, and immersing in washer. Diassembles and cleans used tooling. Maintain tool functionality and condidtion by performing inspections for defects or damage. Collaborate with team members and management to achieve production goals. Follows all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. 18 years of age or older. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
General knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and hand tools. Ability to measure and calculate with use of various measuring tools. Experience with reading gauges preferred. Ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria and engineered drawings. Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
