- 4 years of experience working in a machine shop dealing with punch and dies, especially progressive dies?
Do you have experience with maintaining these tools (sharpening, etc), but would also be okay with operating a Punch Press Machine if needed? If you have experience setting up and and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, this could be the right role for you. This position will be responsible for fabricating and modifying parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines and knowledge of progressive and compound punch and dies along with Solidworks / Camworks is ideal. This could be a good fit for you if you have experience running a 25-60 ton mechanical press, but also have tool and die making abilities. Position Duration

- $72,000 per year shift: First work hours: 7 AM
- 3:30 PM education: Associate Responsibilities Will be responsible for setup, troubleshooting and operations of a variety of metal forming presses and other machine shop equipment Additional responsibilities include operation, clean up and light maintenance and assembly of components with the use of tools, jigs, soldering and hand manipulation Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work Install repaired parts into equipment, or install new equipment Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools The essential functions of this role include: wearing steel toe shoes manual lifting up to 50lbs standing for 8 hours at one time Skills Manufacturing machine shop sheet metal manufacturing processes punch press and die punch and die mechanical press Mechanical Maintenance Engineering Electronic Maintenance progrssive dies compound dies tool and die Qualifications Years of experience: 2 years Experience level: Experienced Randstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
