Job Description

The Companion Observer is a staff member trained to provide supportive care to patients who need 1:1 observation for safety and behavioral purposes. The Companion Observer assures safety by constant observation and assists with providing a therapeutic care environment and use of interventions. The companion observer must be able to collaborate with nursing staff regarding direct patient care and hygiene. Must be present for mandatory orientation taking place: July 13th (8am
  • 4:30pm), July 14th(8am
  • 4:30pm) and 15th (8am
  • 12pm).

City Rochester Area of Interest Clinical Non-Nursing Employment Status Per Diem Hours/Week 4 Job Requirements High School Diploma or GED; it is preferred that the candidate is enrolled in college, preferably with a nursing or other healthcare major. 6 months of previous work experience in a customer service or health care setting preferred. No clinical experience required.
