2015 Certified, we will design and build tooling to manufacture quality products to suit our customer's application. Wire Products Company provides creative solutions for metal forming and assembly requirements at competitive prices. The Die Repair position primary purpose of this position is to support tooling necessary for the manufacturing process. This position reports to the Tooling Manager.
Duties and Tasks:
This position must be able to perform all duties, responsibilities, and requirements of a production operator. In addition this position must be able to perform the following duties and tasks. Good understanding of the planning and construction of tools, dies, fixtures, and gages to be used in company operations. Accurately machine parts needed using- cnc mills, manual mills, surface grinders, lathes, and other various types of Tool room equipment). Read and understands blueprints or detailed drawings. Identify weak areas in tools and suggest changes to foreman in order to reduce unforeseen problems. Understands Quality Systems policies and record keeping pertaining to work area. Understands and uses the company's safety policies and procedures, appropriate safety and protection equipment, and safety practices appropriate to the assigned work unit. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Tooling Manager.

As assigned by the Manager and reviewed by the appropriate Vice President. Completes assignments correctly and on schedule. Able to work independently. Recognize and report problems to supervisor in a timely fashion. Works well with others. Works on multiple tasks at once. Follows company policies and procedures. Actively seeks additional work.
Physical Demands:

Standing:
1/3 to 2/3 of the time.

1/3 to 2/3 of the time.

1/3 to 2/3 of the time.
Talking or hearing:
2/3 or more of the time. Use of hand to finger, feel, or handle: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time.

up to 1/3 of the time. Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: up to 1/3 of the time.

1/3 to 2/3 of the time. This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted up to 50 pounds up to 1/3 of the time. Work Environment:
This job requires exposure to the following environmental conditions: Wet humid conditions: none Work near moving equipment: 2/3 and more of the time Fumes or airborne particles: up to 1/3 of the time
Vibrations:
up to 1/3 of the time one Metal chips and/or machinery residue A work environment with loud noise (machinery) is typical for this job.
Other requirements of the position:
Language skills: must be able to read, write and communicate in English in order to promote trainability and interpret work documents including manuals.
Basic math skills:
such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals in order to read understand and operate measurement instruments and work documents. Basic mechanical and production skills such as operating various types of production equipment desired. High school diploma or GED, or formal tool and die instruction by an accredited trade school with on the job training. Functional use of basic trigonometric functions on calculators or equivalent to determine layout of work. 2-4 years' experience
