Die and Tool Maker

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tool and Die Repairman to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining die casting machines to produce high-quality metal components. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and precise craftsmanship. Duties Set up and operate die casting machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment for optimal performance Monitor machine operations throughout the production cycle, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain quality standards Conduct routine inspections of molds, tooling, and equipment to identify wear or potential issues Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, machine maintenance, and quality checks Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues with machines, coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs Assist in the setup of auxiliary equipment including CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, and press brake machines when required Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating die casting machinery and related equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and welding tools Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards Ability to perform basic math calculations essential for precise measurements and adjustments in machining processes Skilled in using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection Familiarity with fabrication techniques including sheet metal work, tooling setup, and assembly processes Experience with CNC programming and operation for laser cutting, plasma cutting, or machining tasks is a plus Knowledge of safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and other manufacturing equipment Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical or technical issues efficiently Strong attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment Join us as tool and become an integral part of a forward-thinking manufacturing team dedicated to excellence!
