284878427) Build Your Career with G&W Products G&W Products is looking for an experienced 2nd shift Tool & Die Technician to join our team in Fairfield, OH. This first-shift opportunity is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, enjoys solving problems, and wants to make a direct impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 2nd shift is Monday - Thursday from 3:30 pm - 2:00 am
Responsibilities:
Maintain progressive,pound, single-hit, form, and hand-transfer dies. Sharpen, polish, and shim dies to keep them in proper working condition. Square die steels using mills and grinders. Change over dies as needed to support production. Troubleshoot dies in and out of presses to identify and resolve issues. Build new dies, die sections, and fixtures from part prints or CAD files as needed. Use G&W's Plex ERP system tomunicate die condition, capability, and readiness. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
At least two years of tool and die experience. Experience working with stamping dies. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Understanding of die timing and die clearances. Ability to operate tool room machinery and related equipment. Ability to work to close tolerances and produce detailed sections from part prints or CAD files. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds multiple times per day. Candidates must provide their own toolbox and tools.
