Honing Specialist

Vector's Lake County partner client is a leading aerospace manufacturer and they are looking for an experienced Honing Specialist to join their team ASAP.

Shift Pay:

Dependent upon experience Responsibilities Set up and operate honing equipment to finish parts to print requirements Produce high-accuracy bores and surface finishes per specifications Use honing oils/coolants to lubricate parts and prevent overheating/burning during the process Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Work to close tolerances and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools Perform sub-assembly work as needed (including matchfit work) Requirements Prior honing experience in a precision machining environment Strong blueprint reading / GD&T knowledge Proven ability to hold tight tolerances Comfort working in a quality-driven manufacturing setting (aerospace preferred) Equipment Experience (Preferred) Sunnen honing machines Vertical Deep Hole Honing equipment What we offer our
