Job Description

Tool Maker Shift/Hours:
Monday - Friday 6:00AM to 3:30pm,
Some Overtime Pay Rate:
$24/hr - $32/hr (depending on experience)

Machining & Programming:
Program, set up, and operate tool room equipment, including mills, lathes, and grinders.
Blueprint Reading:
Use sketches, blueprints, specifications, and models to plan operations for machining tools and assemblies safely and efficiently.
Fixture Design & Assembly:
Design fixtures to serve as work aids for efficient fabrication. Utilize hand and machine tools to assemble parts, repair/modify gauges and jigs, and file/finish workpieces for a perfect fit.
Quality Assurance:
Verify dimensions of finished parts to ensure they perfectly conform to project specifications.
Troubleshooting:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on production tools.
Material Selection:
Select the proper metals and materials based on their properties to meet project specifications.
Collaboration:
Partner with other departments to assist in product design and design for manufacturing, while interfacing with internal and external customers to solve production problems. Tool Maker - What You Bring (Qualifications):
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of professional Tool Room experience.
Equipment Knowledge:
Proven experience operating Mills, Lathes, and Grinders (ProtoTrak experience is highly preferred).
Traits:
Quality-oriented, computer-literate, highly reliable, and possesses an excellent attendance record.
Tools:
Must own your own tools.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and frequently lift between 10 and 50 pounds. Tool Maker - Why You'll Love Working Here (Associate Benefits):
