Job Description Scheduled Hours:
3pm-12pm, training on 1st shift
Position Summary:
The Tooling Technician supports manufacturing by ensuring all dies (and related tooling) are kept in a state of readiness. Perform die preventative maintenance and setup activity on dies for production use.
Essential Functions:
Disassemble and reassemble dies. Setup and trouble shoot die setups on injection presses. Minor repair of tooling. Using mills, lathes and surface grind machines to produce replacement parts. Maintain documentation related to tooling setups, PM's and modifications. Support tooling department, as necessary. Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures. Other duties as assigned by supervision Weekend coverage, as scheduled
Required Skills:
Ability to read micrometers and verniers. Ability to organize and maintain documentation. Demonstrated mechanical or machining capability. Forklift certified or willing and able to pass certification. Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments. Good written and verbal communications skills. Basic computer skills and proficient in data entry for excel, word and outlook Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision. Proven records for high attendance and performance
Desired Skills:
Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees. Must be able to work on multiple tasks, have good decision-making skills, and be detailed oriented. Proven ability to work hands-on with the team to achieve objectives. Experience & Education State of Ohio Tool and Die Apprenticeship Program Certification or equivalent is desirable. Prefer 3+ years of experience in a mechanical related technician role in a manufacturing environment.
