Job Description
About the Role As a Precision Threading Specialist, you will be instrumental in our manufacturing operations, focusing on the precise formation of threaded components. You will utilize your technical expertise in cold heading and thread rolling to ensure every part meets rigorous quality standards, directly impacting our production efficiency and product integrity. Responsibilities Execute complex setups and operation of cold heading and thread rolling equipment to meet production targets. Utilize precision metrology tools, such as micrometers, dial calipers, and optical comparators, to verify part accuracy. Perform proactive machine maintenance, including tooling replacement and adjustment, to minimize downtime and ensure consistent output. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job packets to accurately prepare materials and machine configurations. Manage the installation and removal of tooling using specialized hand tools to facilitate rapid changeovers. Monitor wire stock levels and manage material handling, including the operation of in-line wire drawers. Identify and report equipment anomalies or material defects to maintain high safety and quality standards. Perform daily routine maintenance tasks, such as monitoring lubrication levels, to preserve machine longevity. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in a manual machining or metal forming environment. Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on troubleshooting and problem-solving. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical blueprints and specifications. Ability to perform precise hand metrology and gauge inspections. Preferred Skills Formal technical training or vocational certification in machining. Experience with 2D and 3D technical drawing software. Prior experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) documentation and trend charts. Strong collaborative skills for working within a high-output manufacturing team.
