Job Description
Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
All Operators/Set-ups will be required to know and understand all PMG PA Policies and Procedures, this includes Quality, HSE and Production (Work Instruction). To be successful a technician will need to have excellent communication and multitasking skills. Technicians must ensure that Quality is built into their process at all times, doing this will be one of their primary objectives to ensure we deliver a quality part to our customers. Operator and Set-ups must be able to multitask and detail oriented. Technicians will be expected to gain an understanding of troubleshooting all machines and the automation ensuring the efficient operation of both to optimal production. Technicians will be evaluated on the necessary skills required to complete their job tasks, along with their general teamwork and work performance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):- Know and follow all applicable policies and procedures within our QMS System, including Hazard ID's and JSA's
- Report all HSE incidents, accidents, near misses and potential problems in a timely manner
- Will be expected to help train fellow employees in levels below them, sharing knowledge will help the department and PMG to grow. Training must be done per WI or Procedures
- Engage with fellow employees to drive Continuous Improvement
- Aim to have positive attitude and work together in a courteous and cordial manner. They should strive to help create an honest, trustworthy, and friendly work environment.
- Use TPM and 5S Methodologies to help optimize equipment availability and improve plant cleanliness and organization by working with maintenance, fellow employees, and leaders to improve overall productivity.
- Employee will be expected to stage tooling properly
- Complete any and all Quality Checks as required
- Employee must be able to work as a team with others in department
- Good communication within department and shift to shift
- Complete all tool damage investigation reports
- Follow all Work Instructions and Procedures
- Employee will be expected to setup all presses and understand the operation of the press and its functions
- Problem solving and decision making will be key in this role as the employee must troubleshoot as setting up the press, understanding fill rates and density
- Review and Adjust Automation as needed from Compact to Furnace, Furnace to Sizing, including Cameras
- Operators Duties when needed
- Other duties as needed Die Setting & Tooling Responsibilities Safely and efficiently perform die changes and die setting in accordance with applicable Work Instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
