Job Description

Long Description Role Summary To perform maintenance, service, and repair work on large and small tool & dies regarding engineering changes and improvements,
Key Responsibilities General drilling and tapping, milling, turning, and grinding - cylindrical & surface - in the tool room.
Service work on all dies in the Press Shop.
Repair in the press during failure.
Ensure quality of press parts by optimized die maintenance.
Responsible for spare parts stock
Servicing of dies with stamping nuts and supportive equipment.
PM (Preventive Maintenance on Tooling)
Re-construction of dies: turning, milling, drilling, and grinding
Spotting of dies
MIG, TIG, Stick welding Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent; required
Toolmaker Apprenticeship/Journeyman preferred
Associate degree in machining preferred Key Qualifications/Requirements Minimum of Five (5) years automotive tool & die experience preferred
Class A automotive experience preferred
Knowledge in pneumatics Experience with nut setting equipment Standard parts MIG, TIG, Stick welding, hard brazing
Basic CAD drawing knowledge
Metric System
Basic knowledge of press operation
