Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Diamond Tooling Technician to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the performance, longevity, and quality of our diamond tooling equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and retipping blades, managing tooling inventory, testing new tools, and ensuring all tooling meets quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform retipping, sharpening, and maintenance of diamond blades and core bits to ensure optimal cutting performance and safety. Track and manage tooling inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing tools and supplies. Maintain accurate stock levels and reorder as needed. Conduct performance tests on new and existing diamond tools. Provide feedback on tool wear, efficiency, and suitability for specific materials or applications Coordinate tooling orders with vendors and internal departments. Solicit and compare quotes from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing and cost efficiency. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of required tools to avoid production delays. Inspect all tooling for defects or wear. Ensure tools meet company and industry standards before use in production. Maintain detailed records of tooling usage, maintenance, test results, and inventory levels. Generate reports for management as needed. Maintain diamond wire cutting equipment for precision cuts in granite materials. Monitor wire wear and performance, and perform necessary adjustments or replacements to ensure optimal cutting quality.
