Setup tooling. May require occasional lifting of dies. Perform some preventative maintenance. Individual MUST have some mechanical, maintenance and problem solving skillsets/abilities. Must be able to use gauging instruments, read blueprints and the ability to read standard measurement equipment. MUST be safety minded. This is for 1st shift, Monday - Friday, some overtime. Benefits are active on the 61st day of employment. Duties Prepare machines for production runs by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming setups. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate machining processes. Program equipment and verify programs through CNC programming techniques. Operate machinery safely and efficiently, monitoring machine performance during production runs. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part dimensions. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment. Use hand tools and power tools to assist with tooling adjustments or assembly tasks as needed. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Maintain detailed documentation of setups, inspections, and production logs for quality control purposes. Experience Proven experience setting up and operating equipment . Strong knowledge of blueprint reading. Familiarity with CNC programming a plus. Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling equipment, and safety devices confidently.
