Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Tool & Die Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision, efficiency, and longevity of our tooling and die equipment. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise and technical skills to maintain and improve complex tooling systems used in metal stamping presses, and machining operations. Your proactive approach will help us deliver high-quality products while fostering a safe and innovative work environment. Duties • Perform die repairs at the press and in the tool room. Complete Preventative Maintenance activities on the dies. Weld a variety of materials used in maintenance and the tool room. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical / pneumatic systems used in the dies. Machining of materials associated with repairs and maintenance of the dies. Qualifications • High School Diploma or equivalent. Journeymen Tool & Die must have 40 college credits and/or 8000 hours on the job experience. Experience working with progressive and transfer dies (tight tolerances) in a high volume precision metal forming/stamping plant Experience trouble shooting progressive and transfer die production issues, preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, etc. Must be proficient in reading blueprints, using measurement tools (mics, calipers, dial indications, functional gauges), and standard tool room equipment/machinery (lathe, mill, surface grinder, drill press, etc.) as well as experience working with a variety of steels (hot and cold rolled, high strength, stainless, coated, etc.) Excellent hand tool skills combined with a safety-conscious mindset; capable of working with hand tools and fabrication equipment effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
