Job Summary:
The Tool Crib Attendant will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing tools, equipment, and supplies to employees, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring the efficient operation of the tool crib.
Essential Responsibilities/Activities:
Receives, inspects, and inventories all incoming tools, equipment, and supplies. Distributes tools and equipment to employees, ensuring that they are signed out and returned properly. Ensures the tool crib is clean, organized, and properly stocked. Monitors inventory levels and reorders supplies as necessary. Performs routine maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, sharpening, and lubrication. Keeps accurate records of all tool crib transactions, including issuing and receiving tools and supplies. Reports any damaged or missing tools or equipment to management. Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and guidelines.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree(s): High school diploma or equivalent and previous experience working in a tool crib or similar environment preferred. License(s): Certification(s): May require a forklift certification.
Essential Mental Functions:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
