Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Builds, repairs, modifies plastic injection molds, jigs and fixtures. To perform this job successfully, the selected individual(s) must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and job responsibilities listed below. Additional details listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Efficiently set up and operate all conventional tool room machinery. Understand and apply basic machine tool processing to construct molds, jigs, and fixtures. Understand and efficiently operate EDMs including complex electrode construction. Capable of completing all debug tooling assignments. Ability to understand written and verbal instructions relating to complex tool room assignments. Ability to work with little supervision from supervisor or minimum assistance from other toolmakers. Act as a mentor/trainer for Tool Makers B and C. Possess and demonstrate technical knowledge needed to interface efficiently with engineering and manufacturing personnel. Must have the ability to construct complex tools and possess good planning abilities. Possess the ability to reverse engineer injection mold inserts and present solutions to reconstruct damaged tooling when necessary. Other duties as assigned.
GENERAL SKILLS
Ability to work under the direction of senior shop associates while requiring little or no supervision on repetitive tasks.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ related experience in a manufacturing tool room environment required. Experience with building, repairing, or modifying plastic injection molds, jigs, and fixtures Strong mechanical background. Ability to read and interpret tool drawings and blueprints. Must possess an intermediate understanding of technical math concepts (Algebra, Trigonometry, etc.).

None required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an hourly position which is eligible for overtime. A minimum of forty (40) hours a week is required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position does not have any travel requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area. Lifting up to 50-75 pounds may be required on a daily basis as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting. SAFETY Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE are required in production areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a typical manufacturing environment where the temperature is not maintained throughout the year. In addition, there may be exposure to equipment, noise and/or chemicals depending on the specific job to which assigned.
REASONING ABILITY
Sound judgment and decision-making skills necessary. Must be able to appropriately prioritize multiple tasks and maintain timeliness for completion.
