Job Title:
Engineering Technician Job Description Seeking an experienced engineering technician to support the repair and troubleshooting of jigs, tools, gauges, and dies. The role involves performing modifications and ensuring optimal functionality of equipment. Responsibilities Repair and troubleshoot jigs, tools, gauges, and dies. Read and interpret blueprints or follow verbal/written instructions for part replication or fitting. Determine inspection specifications using precision measuring and gauging tools, and conduct inspections before, during, and after machining. Perform hand operations to produce jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Manufacture simple components using manual machine tools. Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Test dies to produce products to specifications, identify die difficulties, and implement corrections. Assist other tooling personnel in the repair and maintenance of tooling and equipment. Collaborate with product designers and customers to provide manufacturing capability input on new products. Understand and work with hydraulic circuits and components. Repair various dies and cavities, ensuring accuracy and making decisions on metals, allowances, mechanisms, and fits. Essential Skills Proficiency in ISO standards, PPAP, APQP, GD&T, Six Sigma, and Minitab. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Experience with hydraulic circuits. Strong troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Capability to provide input on manufacturing capabilities for new products. Experience with manual machine tools and precision measuring tools. Work Environment Work involves using various technologies and equipment including manual machine tools and precision measuring tools. The role requires close collaboration with tooling personnel and product designers, focusing on maintaining accuracy and meeting manufacturing specifications. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pleasant Prairie, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
