Job Description

We are seeking a Tool and Die Maker with a high degree of skill, knowledge and background in production tooling and die work of progressive and single station tools.
Responsibilities:
Build new and repair complex Class A progressive stamping dies. Complete tasks with minimal supervision. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain existing tools and dies. Reverse engineer existing tools when files or prints are not available. Work from blueprints and specifications to plan sequence of operations for fabrication of tools and dies. Inspect completed dies for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs. Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues with dies. Set up and operate various hand operated machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and surface grinders. Esprit experience and ability to post drawings and files to Mitsubishi wire edm a plus. Knowledge of automatic insertion of fasteners such as contacts, rivets, screws, etc. in progressive dies a plus. Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance and repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Experience:
A minimum of 8 years in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must have a great work ethic, attendance and communication skills. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments. Familiarity with stamping press operations and die maintenance. Some heavy lifting while maneuvering and working on tools and dies. Excellent problem-solving skills, general safety knowledge and attention to detail. Knowledge and use of inspection equipment and measuring tools.
