Job Description

Utility Foreman - Water, Sewer & Storm Drainage Napa Construction is seeking an experienced Utility Foreman to lead underground utility crews specializing in water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage installation. If you're a hands-on leader who takes pride in quality work, safety, and keeping projects on schedule, we'd like to talk with you. Responsibilities Lead and supervise utility crews installing water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials. Read and interpret construction plans, profiles, grades, and utility layouts.
Install and oversee installation of:
Water mains and services Sanitary sewer mains and services Storm sewer systems Manholes, catch basins, valves, hydrants, and related structures Ensure all work meets project specifications, municipal standards, and quality requirements. Coordinate inspections, testing, utility locates, and tie-ins. Track production, complete daily reports, and communicate project progress with project management. Maintain a safe work environment and enforce OSHA and company safety standards. Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing project delays. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of underground utility construction experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drainage installation methods. Ability to read construction drawings, profiles, and grade stakes. Experience working around existing utilities and coordinating utility conflicts. Knowledge of trench safety, excavation, and shoring requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Experience PVC, DIP, HDPE, and RCP pipe installation. GPS grade control and laser levels. Heavy equipment operation. Commercial site development and municipal utility projects. Utility testing, pressure testing, and inspections. Pay:
$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
