Water Treatment Operator/Remediation Technician McGeorge Contracting - 4.6 Little Rock, AR Job Details Full-time From $21.49 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Description Perform the required routine Operations and Maintenance of the water treatment network. Keep a large and complex treatment system running 24-7. Operate and maintain pumping network as required to maintain site compliance. Job Responsibilities Implement McGeorge safety standards and practices. Occasionally Saturday and Sunday will be required for this position. Keep your work areas clean, organized, and safe. Work in inclement weather. Operate the treatment system without direct supervision. Lifting/moving equipment (50lbs). Perform routine system maintenance/lubrication and repairs. Collect accurate daily readings/data and record/maintain in your daily log. Keep inventory logs on all chemicals needed and used on site. Coordinate ordering and keep an adequate stock of all items needed to keep the system operational. Inspect the system or system features as required and maintain appropriate maintenance records. Pick up and deliver equipment. Overtime work will be required as directed by site supervisor. Operational requirements and deadlines are the responsibility of this position. Deviations from these requirements/deadlines must have prior approval of the supervisor. The operator must perform his/her work as detailed by the supervisor, or as the scope of work dictates. All client work must remain confidential. Communicate regularly with the site supervisor. On call status will be required for this position. Operate and maintain heavy equipment. Steel welding and HDPE fusing experience is desired.
Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or equivalency required. Specialized/Technical Knowledge (licenses or certificates): Arkansas Industrial Operator License preferred but not required. Some environmental knowledge or experience preferred but not required. Any licenses or certificates would be beneficial. CDL license preferred but not required.
Type & Length of Experience:
Treatment Plant Operations and Maintenance or general operations and maintenance preferred While an Arkansas Industrial Operator License is preferred, it is not a requirement. We offer support and resources for candidate to obtain this license within one year of employment.

Good Communication and Documentation Skills:
Verbal and Written (Keeping detailed field notes and measuring/recording data accurately)
Capable of Operating and Repairing:
Wastewater Treatment, Groundwater Extraction, and Groundwater Sampling Equipment Capable of Implementing:
Pump Maintenance, general system maintenance to include vehicle maintenance
Capable of Implementing:
