Job Description Wastewater Technician - Eloy, Casa Grande, Coolidge Areas Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, mechanical systems, and data collection methods. Duties Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment, performing necessary repairs and maintenance. Collect and analyze data related to water quality and treatment processes. Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Perform heavy lifting as needed to move equipment or materials within the facility. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively. Ensure adherence to safety protocols while operating heavy equipment. Requirements Proven experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs. Proficiency in basic math skills for data analysis and calculations. Experience in heavy equipment operation is a plus. A clean driving record. Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently. Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes is advantageous. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of operation. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting. ADEQ Wastewater Treatment Grade 1 Certification which should be completed in Year 1. The company provides a $1,000 incentive bonus or certification achievement and a $1.00/hour increase to hourly pay for each certification achieved.
