Job Description

The Cortez Sanitation District in Southwest Colorado is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable Wastewater Plant Supervisor with a strong technical background in wastewater operations. SCADA experience is preferred. We're looking for someone with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement. This key leadership position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, upholding safety standards, managing operators, and optimizing plant processes in accordance with federal and state requirements. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise the daily operations of the wastewater treatment facility and operations staff. Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Monitor, evaluate, and optimize plant performance and treatment processes. Implement and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and best practices. Prepare technical reports, regulatory filings, and performance summaries.

Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in wastewater treatment plant operations. At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience. Colorado Class A Wastewater Certification or equivalent with reciprocity. Class B CDL.
