Dual Water/Wastewater Plant Treatment Operator 2600 N 64th Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024 Full-time Full-time The Seminole Tribe of Florida's Public Works Department is responsible for providing a variety of services to the residents of The Seminole Tribe. The Department's main functions are to administer and manage the construction, operation, and maintenance of the Seminole Tribe of Florida's infrastructure for roads, water and wastewater distribution and collection systems, facilities, and sanitation services to meet existing and future needs of the Tribal Council and Community.

//tcd.semtribe.com/ Position Summary This is routine work performing maintenance tasks for the Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants located at the Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations. The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing a variety of operations and maintenance repair tasks for water/wastewater equipment. Performs general housekeeping functions of the water/wastewater facilities; maintains chemical inventory and inventory of all equipment and tools needed to perform the maintenance of the STOF Water/Wastewater Plants. Instructions are usually received orally and tasks are performed without close field supervision. All work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Public Works environment with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the daily operation of water/wastewater production is required. Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) experience is preferred. Must have an active water, wastewater or dual Treatment Plant Operator license Class C or higher level. Knowledgeable in the area of safety practices and procedures related to water plant operations. Knowledge of math principles, formulas and methods sufficient to perform operator duties is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Must be qualified and able to use Self Contained Breathing Apparatus. Demonstrates excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to travel and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
